Veterans Dental Care
Veterans Dental Care provided by Our Expert Dentists
in Bells, Jackson, Milan & Lexington, TN at Premier Dental Center
At Premier Dental Center in Jackson, Bells, Milan, and Lexington, TN, veterans dental care means the full range of family dentistry delivered by a team that genuinely values those who served.
From routine cleanings to restoring a smile that years of service wore down, we are honored to care for the veterans in our West Tennessee communities.
That commitment is personal for us. Members of our team volunteered to provide free dental care, including dentures, to veterans during their training, and a veteran serves on our team today. Caring for those who served is woven into the family dentistry we provide, not a side program.
Whether you are managing the dental side effects of medications, dealing with jaw pain that traces back to an old injury, or simply overdue for a checkup, you will find a practice that treats you with respect and listens before it recommends.

Our Commitment to Veterans
Our commitment to veterans grew out of real experience, not a marketing decision. Before joining our team, members of our staff spent volunteer days during dental school providing free care to veterans, including making and fitting dentures for those who needed them. One of our dentists is a veteran himself, having served in the United States Air Force before practicing dentistry.
That history shapes how we treat veterans today. We understand that some patients have gone years between visits, that service can leave a mark on both body and teeth, and that we have to earn your trust. We do not rush, we do not judge, and we take the time to explain what we see before we suggest a plan.
What Veterans Dental Care Looks Like
Veterans dental care at our offices is, first and foremost, complete family dentistry: cleanings, exams, fillings, crowns, and everything else you would expect. What changes is the awareness we bring to a few concerns that show up more often among those who have served:
- Dry mouth from medications – Many prescriptions reduce saliva, which raises the risk of decay, so we watch for it and offer dry mouth solutions.
- Jaw pain and clenching – Old injuries and stress can lead to TMJ trouble, which we treat as part of the same care.
- Missing teeth – For teeth lost over the years, we restore function with options from dentures to implant-supported solutions.
The goal stays the same throughout: keep you comfortable, save your natural teeth where we can, and be honest about what each option involves.
Your Dental Team in West Tennessee
The team caring for you brings both clinical range and a real connection to military service. One of our dentists is an Air Force veteran, and others have given their time to provide free dental care to veterans in need. Across the practice, our doctors handle everything from routine family care to implants, dentures, and gum treatment.
Premier Dental Center has served Bells, Jackson, Milan, and Lexington since 1979, and that longevity means our doctors have cared for veterans across generations, from those who served decades ago to those recently home. More about our doctors under About Us.
What to Expect as a New Patient
Your first visit starts with a conversation, not a procedure, and we have tried to remove the friction that keeps people from coming in.
Your First Visit
We begin with a thorough exam at whichever of our four West Tennessee offices works best for you. We review your medical history and any medications, look closely at your teeth and gums, and ask what is bothering you and what your goals are.
Your Treatment Plan
From there, we lay out what we see and what your options are, in plain language and in order of priority. Nothing happens without your understanding and your go-ahead, and we are glad to phase treatment over time when that fits your budget better.
Ongoing Care
Once you are settled in, we keep you on a schedule that fits your needs, with the same team seeing you visit after visit. Consistency matters, and with offices in all four cities, staying on track is easy wherever you live in the area.
Coverage and Payment Options
We want to be straight with you about the financial side, because it stops too many veterans from getting care. VA dental benefits are limited for many veterans, and not everyone qualifies for them, so it helps to know what other options exist.
If you do not have dental insurance, our Membership Plan is built for exactly that situation, with cleanings, exams, and discounts on other treatment for a flat yearly fee. We also work with financing partners so you can spread larger treatment over time, and you can review those options under our insurance and financing options. Call 731-300-3000 and our team will help you find the most affordable path.
Why Choose Our Team for Your Care
Plenty of offices will say they welcome veterans. What stands behind it here is a team with actual military service, a history of volunteering dental care for veterans, and more than four decades of caring for this community since 1979.
Because many veterans are older adults, our doctors are also experienced with the dental needs that come with age, from dry mouth and gum disease to tooth replacement, and our approach to senior dental care carries straight over. With four offices across West Tennessee and the same team seeing you each visit, getting consistent, respectful care is easy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Premier Dental Center accept VA dental benefits?
VA dental coverage is limited and varies a great deal from one veteran to the next, often depending on factors like service-connected disability status. So the honest answer is that it depends on your specific benefits, and the best step is to call our office with your plan details so our front desk can help you understand what may apply. We will never let coverage questions stop us from explaining your options.
Do you offer a discount for veterans?
Rather than a single blanket discount, we focus on making care affordable in ways that work for more people, including our Membership Plan for the uninsured and flexible financing for larger treatment. If cost is a barrier, tell us, and we will find the most affordable route for your situation. Our goal is to keep care within reach.
I have not been to a dentist in years. Is that a problem?
Not at all, and you are far from the only veteran in that position. We start where you are, with no lectures, and build a plan that tackles the most important things first. Many of our patients are surprised how manageable it feels once they take that first step.
Can you help with dry mouth caused by my medications?
Yes. Dry mouth is common with many prescriptions, and left alone it speeds up tooth decay and gum trouble. We can recommend rinses, products, and habits that protect your teeth, and we keep a closer eye on cavity-prone areas at your cleanings.
I lost teeth while I was in the service. What are my options?
You have several, depending on how many teeth are missing and your goals. These range from dentures to dental implants that function much like natural teeth, and we will walk you through the trade-offs in cost, comfort, and longevity. We will also tell you honestly which option fits your mouth and your budget best.
Do you treat gum disease?
Yes, and it is worth taking seriously, because gum disease is both common and quietly damaging, especially when dry mouth or years between visits are part of the picture. We offer periodontal care that ranges from deep cleanings to ongoing maintenance. Catching it early usually means simpler, less costly treatment.
What if I do not have dental insurance?
Our Membership Plan is built for that. It is not insurance; for a flat yearly fee you get your routine cleanings and exams plus a discount on other treatment, with no claim forms, no waiting periods, and no annual maximum to run up against. You can see what the Membership Plan includes, and you can enroll the same day you come in.
Why should veterans choose Premier Dental Center in Jackson, TN?
Because the welcome here is backed by something real, not a slogan: a dentist who served in the Air Force and a team that has volunteered dental care for veterans. Beyond that, you get everything in one place, from cleanings to TMJ care to tooth replacement, across Jackson, Bells, Milan, and Lexington since 1979. You will be treated by a team that respects what you gave. |
